Some Tips to Promote your Business online
To have success or fail doing online business depends on crucial factor: to have enough traffic. It is true that you can earn Money while you sleep doing Internet Marketing. However is not easy to know what works and what not.
Here some hints that worked for me:
1) Paid Classifieds.
I am member of
US Free Ads
and just let my ads run for a while. They get indexed by google and get additional traffic. Internet Marketing Ads are re-published via their own network gaining additional exposure. You can get a good list of Free Advertising sites by google (keyword Free Advertising). However do not rely ONLY on free advertising if you really want to promote seriously your business.
2) TrafficSwarm
TrafficSwarm: This was my first traffic exchange programm. I have tested a couple of others but finally came back to this one. Currently I am PRO member and get traffic from my referrals as well as from my membership. The residuals I get from referrals overcompensate the costs of the pro membership, so I get credits and some cash. However this works only if you actively do some promotion of TrafficSwarm itself.
3) Ezine Advertising
On a regular basis, I send some ads to be published in ezines. For 10-20$ I get reasonable exposure. Additionally, the sites gets indexed in Google in their archives.

4) Pay Per Click Search Engines
This is great advertising method, but it should be used carefully otherwise you can loose a lot of money. I have published an article with some hints about Google AdWords:

There are also other PPC search engines I have used, i.e. Kanoodle and Looksmart, there are cheaper but not so effective as Google Adwords.
5) Buying Leads: Building your List ist Key! there is no serious internet marketer without an own list of subcribers with at least 1000 readers. Mal Keenan has good hints how to build a list in his "Business Success Vehicle" including also good Sources to get Leads to a reasonable Price. Take a look on this free ebook:

All methods I have mentioned here can be used investing few time and some advertising budget. Of course there are hundreds of other methods, but those are the ones I used on a regular basis with good success.
6) InstantBuzz: this is genial traffic invention from Mike Filsaime. May be you know Mike from some intersting ebooks about affiliate programs and traffic generation.
InstantBuzz is a very easy and effective way to get targeted traffic to your website. It offers three different ways to perform that task:
a) Installing the InstantBuzz Toolbar in your browser (availble also for Firefox!). You get some Ads Displayed when you
surf and as an exchange your ad is being displayed in hunderts of sites.
b) Sending small ads in your e-mail Signature (MailSpace Ads)
c) HyperSpace Ads. A floating Pop-up appearing in your website.
You can get also additional credits by referring new users to the system, however InstantBuzz does not provide you any
affiliate link. You can join only by clicking an HyperSpace Ad.
I.e. in my Newsletter Salespage I publish an HyperSpace Ad (see floating Pop-up). It has two clickable links. The first one "You´ll see traffic to your website the very first day" allows you to Join and Install InstantBuzz, the 2nd Ad is an exchange ad.

Of course there are thousends other ways to get traffic to your Business, I have mentioned just those that I use on a regular basis.
